Academic Congregations will be held to celebrate the conferral of degrees and other awards upon students of the University who have successfully completed their studies and had their award conferred by the exam board between December 2011 and June 2012.

On the 17th July we will celebrate the conferral of degrees and other awards for students from the following schools:
10:30 - Arts and Social Sciences
13:30 - Arts and Social Sciences
16:00 - Design
The doors at Sport Central will open 45 minutes before the start of each ceremony for all guests & graduates.
Graduate Information
All graduates must be seated 15 minutes before the commencement of the ceremony. Please note Sport Central is only the venue for the ceremonies, all gowns, registration and photography will take place within Students Union. Graduates should be registered and have their gowns before arriving at Sport Central.
Guest Information
It is unlikely that extra tickets will become available. If they do, application instructions will be posted at www.northumbria.ac.uk/congregations towards the end of June. Do not contact the Congregation Office before this date as it is unlikely tickets will become available and they do not keep a waiting list, regardless of the circumstances. A recording of the congregation will be available at www.northumbria.ac.uk/congregations shortly after the ceremonies for friends and family who are unable to attend.
Guest do not have seat numbers for the ceremony and we operate a first-come, first-served system for all guests.
Additional information
As a number of ceremonies are held each day we must maintain a strict timetable therefore late arrivals may not be admitted to the congregation. For the same reason graduates and guests must vacate Sport Central as soon as the ceremony is over. Photography in the hall will not be permitted after the student procession.
